Password Management

A Password Manager is software that helps a user organize passwords and PIN codes. The software typically has a local database or files that holds the encrypted password data. Many password managers also work as a form filler, thus they fill the user and password data automatically into forms. Some have password generator capabilities.

Throughout the world, organizations are realizing that advanced intelligence capabilities consistently deliver substantial cost savings - with proactive insights on true threats, the intelligence to avoid false alarms, and the system and application availability required to preserve revenues and customer loyalty. While the benefits are clear, achieving them requires organizations to establish a formal cyber intelligence capability. This paper describes a proven, repeatable process with clearly established steps for setting up an in-house cyber security intelligence operation. It has been written to convey the fundamentals of intelligence operations, and will be most helpful to organizations still in the planning or initial stages of establishing an intelligence capability. Its content should also prove enlightening to organizations that find themselves struggling with the development and evolution of an existing intelligence capability.

The purpose of this paper is: . To describe why NGIPS is critical in defending against today's threat landscape . To list the essential ingredients of a NGIPS solution, as defined by Gartner . To map Gartner's requirements against Sourcefire's NGIPS offering . To contrast Sourcefire's NGIPS against a typical, first-generation IPS

Today's targeted threats are often multi-vectored and exploit unknown vulnerabilities - their sophistication defying typical signature-only based inspection. Whether APTs or client-side threats, they use evasive techniques to penetrate our organizations, often purporting to be or riding on applications and exploiting trust relationships with which we've grown all too comfortable with. To make matters worse, attackers have realized the inadequacies of traditional signature-based approaches and have accelerated the pace of change and obfuscated their code through polymorphic techniques. By doing so they can circumvent traditional static defenses. Download this report now to learn the Four Keys of Effective 'Next-Generation' Security and how you can protect your networks from the newly-evolving threat landscape.
